The Sound Professionals Boundary microphone is our very best microphone for Courtrooms, Depositions, Meetings and Lecture recordings and is hand-crafted in the USA. This ultra-high sensitivity microphone offers premium sound quality. This microphone will work with all Steno writers, USB soundcards and audio recorders that provide ‘plug in power’ between 2 and 12 Volts DC at the microphone input jack. Plugged into a USB microphone, it will extend the USB mic range and is perfect for picking up sidebar conferences, etc.
This microphone is also perfect for recording lectures, business meetings, interviews, etc. The microphone element is omnidirectional, so it picks up sound in all directions equally. This microphone has an ultra-high sensitivity mic element for recording sounds ranging from extremely quiet to moderately loud sounds. It has a range of approximately 125 feet (depending on conditions).

I use this mic in court with my laptop. It is with every penny. The quality of the sound and ability to pick up low-level boxes in court is outstanding.

This is a great little mic. Because of the headphone jack, it can be used with your laptop or your writer (for court reporters). It can be plugged into the USB mics to get a blended sound. You can get various cord lengths, which gives you many options. My only quip is very small, that it likes to flip over if it’s not secured to something. I use double-sided tape to hold it to my judge’s bench to use during sidebars.
