The MS-TFB-1 Sound Professionals In-Ear microphones are mounted in an extremely comfortable super-soft In-Ear holders that slips right into the ear structure. It is worn this way while recording and produces an extremely realistic recording. This is accomplished by having the microphone element right next to the opening of the ear, well inside the ear structure. While recording, your hearing is not impaired, so you can hear normally while making very realistic recording. The cable is meter in length and terminates in right angle 1/8″ miniplug. This mic is excellent for recording telephone conversations (where it is legal to do so) as it will pick up both sides of the conversation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because this microphone (and optional windscreen) is used inside the ear structure, it is not returnable for exchange or refund. The normal year warranty still applies.
- – Since there are some variances in the shape of the human ear, and espeically for customers with larger than average ears, and/or for windy situations, soft foam windscreens are available (choose windscreen option above). These windscreens are acoustically transparent, and allow sound to pass through to your ears and the microphones completely unchanged. They are shipped in natural off-white color (see pictures below) and are easily dyed with common household dyes available at your local supermarket. These are also handy for those recordists who need the microphones to be very unobtrusive as they completely cover the mic element. There are two available microphone sensitivities. The low sensitivity option is for use in situations that will range from fairly quiet to extremely loud sounds. The high sensitivity option if for use in situations that will range from extremely quiet to moderately loud sounds.
