This is an upgraded connector available for most products that normally come with straight miniplug or right angle nickle plated miniplug. This upgrade changes the miniplug to threaded, locking plug with addition of integral threaded collar that fastens to bushing of mating jack to prevent accidental disconnect. Requires at least .05 inch of exposed and usable thread on jack bushing to lock securely. Ideal for secure connections in critical audio, medical and sensitive scientific instruments.
