Audio-Technica ATW-1426 Overview
The easy-to-use system comes preconfigured at the factory, ready to operate right out of the box with no setup required. Three levels of diversity reception and automatic frequency selection provide seamless, reliable performance at a range up to 200′ with clear digital audio for presenters, panel discussions, and meetings.

- Each boundary mic / transmitter is equipped with a built-in electret-condenser mic capsule able to handle SPLs up to 139 dB and features a cardioid polar pattern that focuses audio capture in front of the mic for less unwanted background sound.
- The transmitters deliver high-quality sound at 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution and feature low-profile form factors well suited to conferencing and educational applications.
- A customizable mute button lets you choose between toggle, touch-to-talk, and touch-to-mute modes, depending on your preferences, while an OLED screen on the bottom shows you channel, level, and battery information.
- A built-in lithium-ion battery powers each ATW-T1406 for up to 12 hours and is recharged in 3 hours and 10 minutes via the USB-C port; a USB charger and cable are supplied.
- The transmitter’s RF output is fixed at 10mW and the unit offers a maximum transmission range of 200′.

- The flexible ATW-R1440 receiver offers two operational modes, depending on your needs. Standard mode provides 2 microphone channels at a latency of 2.8ms, while HD (High Density) mode delivers 4 mic channels at a latency of 6.7ms.
- The chassis’ front-panel OLED screen provides visual status information including RF signal level, gain level, and the transmitter’s battery life.
- A System ID number display indicates which transmitter is associated with a given receiver.
- The rear panel provides 4 balanced XLR output connectors for compatibility with a wide range of pro audio gear.
- The receiver module can be removed from the chassis and mounted up to 328′ away and connected via Ethernet cable for better antenna reception when necessary.
- A 1/4″-20 thread allows for mounting the receiver module to a bracket, stand, and other fixture. The unit can also be permanently wall mounted using the included receiver unit holder.
- The durable half-rack receiver chassis houses a modular receiver unit and can be mounted alone using the included mounting brackets and screws. Two chassis can be mounted side-by-side using the included joining plate, allowing eight wireless mic channels (in HD mode) to occupy a single 19″ rackspace for a compact multichannel installation.
- Up to five chassis can be linked using RJ12 cables, creating a stable environment in which up to 20 wireless mics are operating simultaneously, with all receiving, transmitting, and frequency allocation coordinated to prevent audio dropouts.

- The System 20 PRO offers full-bandwidth, 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio with none of the audio artifacts associated with analog companding.
Automatic Frequency Selection
- Just power up the components, and the receiver automatically seeks out a clean frequency and pairs up with the transmitter, saving you the hassle of scanning and syncing.
- While in use, the system continually monitors activity in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range and automatically switches to a clean frequency to avoid interference if necessary.
Pairing Multiple Transmitters
- Each receiver channel can be paired with up to four transmitters, allowing users to instantly switch between different transmitter configurations. This is useful in situations when you have multiple speakers, one after another, and you need to have them miked up and ready to go. All you’ll have to do is turn one transmitter off and the next one on.
Remote Control from Computer
- Wireless Manager is a dedicated software that supports the wireless operation of Audio-Technica products. Connecting the receiver to a computer running Windows or macOS allows you to monitor the status of and control the receiver.
- You can configure device settings in an offline manner and even import settings by establishing an online connection with a device. Certain settings, including detailed mix outputs, EQs, and compressor parameters are only adjustable via Wireless Manager.

- Space Diversity: the receiver compares the signal showing up at its two antennas and chooses the strongest one.
- Time Diversity: the transmitter sends the digital signal in two imperceptibly different time slots and compares the two.
- Frequency Diversity: the digital audio is sent over two different frequencies at the same time and the system chooses the cleaner one.
For optimal performance, users are encouraged to maintain as direct a line of sight as possible between the transmitter and receiver.
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Band
- Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the System 20 PRO operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, away from interruptions and dropouts caused by TV and radio channel interference.
Conferencing
- With the ATW-T1407 desk stand transmitter, you can use compatible gooseneck mics, including the U859QL, U857Q, ATUC-M43H, and the ATUC-M58H.
Presenters
- Adding an ATW-T1401 bodypack transmitter allows you to use lavalier and headset mics for hands-free presentations.
- Low-visibility, miniature MT830cW lavalier microphones deliver a natural sound optimized for speech intelligibility. The omnidirectional polar pattern ensures that the sound remains consistent, even when the speaker’s head moves away from the mic
- The AT831cW mini cardioid lavalier mic offers a narrower, feedback-resistant pickup pattern for louder events.
- The discrete PRO-92cW earset mic provides improved clarity in spoken word applications.
Vocalists/Presenters
- The ATW-T1402 handheld transmitter/mic is available for presenters and performers who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.
Guitarists
- The AT-GcW guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
