A clip-on lavalier mic that delivers crisp, full-sounding voice pickup, Audio-Technica’s AT831cH also excels as an instrument mic, especially for capture of acoustic guitar. It’s great for higher SPL applications, such as the pickup of horns, and provides excellent gain before feedback as well as suppression of background noise. It’s designed to operate on phantom power only. It comes equipped with a 55″ (1.4m) permanently-attached miniature cable that’s terminated with a screw-down 4-pin connector designed for use with Audio-Technica’s cH-style body-pack transmitters (sold separately).
