The Sound Professionals remote mute switch allows you to mute your Audio-Technica wireless microphone quickly and easily during a presentation. Unlike the built-in switches on a transmitter, this mute switch is a toggle type, so you can easily reach down and ‘feel’ the switch to know if you are muted or not.
Ideal for Court Room speakers, sporting event referees, ministers, public speakers and other performers who need the ability to remotely mute a wireless microphone, the Sound Professionals remote mute switch is designed to be installed between an Audio Technica wireless microphone using a locking connector (Hirose CW) and its associated UniPak® body-pack wireless transmitter.
The Sound Professionals remote mute switch features a sturdy toggle switch. It is available two different ways:
- with positive “on” or “off” muted function (latching function)
- normally “on” with momentary “off” (muted) function (momentary function)
It is supplied with a permanently attached 22” cable terminated with a locking connector that attaches to the input jack on a UniPak® transmitter. Its all-metal construction and heavy-duty switch are built to withstand rugged use. A durable belt clip is provided for ease of wear.
Installing the switch: Plug the OUT connector into the UniPak® transmitter. Connect the microphone’s connector to the MIC jack located on the switch.
Using the switch: Turn on the wireless system and leave the transmitter in normal “on” mode. If available, you can ‘lock out’ the mute function on the transmitter. To mute the microphone, flip the mute switch to the OFF position. To unmute the microphone, flip (or release) the mute switch back to the ON position.
This is a great replacement/alternate for the Audio Technica ATW-RMS1 and Audio Technica ATW-RCS1 and Shure WA661 and Shure WA662
