I was having an unusual problem. I got a Sennheiser IE300 IEM set I love, but the cable was too short for my setup. I got a cheap 1/8th inch audio extension cord from Amazon and hooked everything up, which in general works great. However, I started picking up a periodic muffled voice. My working theory is I live about 250 meters from a house with multiple VHF antennas, so I am guessing I am picking up the transmit side of some radio communications. I’m assuming the cheap extension has inadequate shielding, but I’m unsure how to know if a cable is “adequately” shielded for the EMI I have been getting. I bought this cable and since getting the new cable the voices in my listening experience have been completely fixed. Thanks for saving my sanity!
